Totem heist galls park artist

The city Parks Department is feeling some heat over a totem.Parks Department officials are believed to have removed a 12-foot totem carved into a fallen tree trunk in Prospect Park, outraging the voodoo-practicing Haitian immigrant who crafted it."It wasn’t a log anymore, it was a piece of art!" fumed artist Deenps Bazile, 57, who spent six months carving the totem, which was nearly completed until its disappearance about three weeks ago.
