Police in the Eastern Cape are searching for a 27-year-old man who escaped from the Stutterheim Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
Buzile Mhlungwani, who is from Kwazidenge village, was appearing in court on charges of aggravated robbery, police spokesperson Captain Siphokazi Mawisa said.
Mawisa said that Mhlungwani's case had been postponed to August 5 and he was being taken back into custody. He allegedly ran out of the court as he was being escorted back to the cells.
Anyone with information about Mhlungwani's whereabouts has been asked to contact the police in Stutterheim.
Meanwhile, a search is underway for a man who was one of six suspects who escaped from custody on Monday while appearing in the Ntabankulu Magistrate's Court on stock theft charges.
Five of the escapees have since been rearrested, police said on Wednesday.
Captain Raphael Motloung appealed to the public not to try to apprehend the man as he was considered "dangerous".
