The New England Revolution re-signed defenseman Brandon Bye to a three-year contract extension through the 2024 MLS season.
The deal announced Friday by the team includes an additional one-year club option. Financial terms were not disclosed.
"We are pleased to sign Brandon to a new contract with the Revolution. He has been a fixture in our first 11 over the past two seasons and continues to grow into his position," sporting director and head coach Bruce Arena said in a news release. "I believe he can become one of the top right backs in MLS. We are excited to have Brandon as a part of our team for many years to come".
Bye, 25, has totaled 105 regular-season appearances with five goals and eight assists since his arrival in 2018.
In 2021, the Michigan native started all 29 of his games and helped the Revs win their first Supporters' Shield with a league-record 73 points. He was fourth on the team with 2,477 minutes played.
